Idle-Up System: Description
Accessories powered by the engine can cause a drop in the engine RPM. The idle-up systems are used on those models with engine powered accessories that decrease engine RPM. To maintain proper engine performance, the idle-up system increases the engine RPM to the required specifications.
Non-turbo and turbo models use the same idle-up system consisting of an air by-pass solenoid valve, A/C switch and relay, P/S switch, high altitude compensation, hot idle compensation, connecting hoses and electrical components.
