Injector Delivery Volume
- Remove jumper from fuel pump test connector and attach a piece of hose between injector and a graduated cylinder. Connect Injector Checker (49 9200 040) to injector electrical connector. See Fig 1
.
CAUTION: Be extremely careful when connecting injector checker to battery; always work away from sparks or open flames.
- Turn ignition on, jumper fuel pump test connector and energize injector by connecting injector checker's leads to battery voltage. Measure injector fuel delivery volume for 15 seconds.
- Volume produced in 15 seconds should be 3.8-4.0 oz. (.11-.12L) for the non-turbo model and 4.5-4.8 oz. (1.3-1.4L) for the turbo model. Check primary and secondary injectors in the same manner.
