Fuel Pressure Release
CAUTION:
Before attempting any work on fuel system, release fuel pressure. Fuel remains in the fuel lines under high pressure even when engine is not running. Cover fuel hoses with a cloth when removing to avoid spillage. Plug hoses to prevent leakage while repairing fuel pump.
- Turn on ignition and run engine at idle. Disconnect fuel pump connector located under rear floor mat.
- When engine stalls, turn ignition switch off. Use a rag to protect yourself from spray when disconnecting fuel hoses. Plug hoses after removal.
