Accelerator Linkage

  1. Remove the air funnel and with the accelerator pedal fully depressed, observe the position of the throttle valves. They should be horizontal (wide open position). If not, adjust throttle pedal adjust nut located on top of throttle pedal. Check that the accelerator linkage returns fully and does not bind.
  2. Check free play of cable at throttle chamber. Free play should be .04-.12" (1-3 mm). If not, adjust with free play adjust nut located on throttle cable housing end at throttle chamber.
