Throttle Body

The throttle body controls the intake airflow in response to accelerator pedal movement. Located between the airflow meter and the intake manifold, the throttle body shaft is connected to Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).

Most models have a dashpot mounted on the throttle body. The dashpot is used to decrease the intake air gradually when throttle valve is closed.
