Hot Idle COMPENSATOR
NOTE:
Hot idle compensation is an integral function of the air temperature sensor in the airflow meter.
- Bring engine to normal operating temperature. Remove upper air cleaner cover assembly. With connector attached, connect voltmeter to the air by-pass valve side of connector at terminal "E" and ground. See Fig 1 .
- Using a heat source, warm up intake air temperature sensor to more than 131°F (55°C). Ensure voltmeter shows zero volts. If voltage is found, test the intake air temperature sensor. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM section.
