Tilt Mechanism: Reassembly

  1. Position upper mounting bracket on steering column. Install tilt lock bolt from left side. Ensure the lands under bolt head engage with slot in mounting bracket.
  2. Install and tighten tilt lever adjusting nut. Position lock lever on adjusting nut with lever against stop.
  3. Install and tighten tilt lever bolt. Check that tilt lever engages and disengages positively. To complete reassembly, reverse disassembly procedure.
