Coasting Advance System

  1. Connect voltmeter to terminal "WG" of coasting advance solenoid valve. See Fig 1 . Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM. Lift idle switch arm. See Figure .
  2. With engine speed greater than 2500 RPM, voltmeter should read 12 volts. With engine speed 1700-2500 RPM, voltmeter should read less than 1.5 volt. With engine speed less than 1700 RPM, voltmeter reading should read 12 volts.
  3. If voltmeter readings are not as specified, check ECU connector terminal 1S and vacuum solenoid valve.
