Switching Solenoid Valve (Turbo) Signal Check

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and let idle. Connect tachometer to engine. Connect Checker Lamp (49 F018 001) to Green check connector. Disconnect the vacuum hose connecting the switching solenoid valve to air control valve at the air control valve. Place finger over port opening.
  2. Check that the Red lamp does not illuminate and air is being sucked into the port at idle or during deceleration. Check that the Red lamp illuminates and no air is being sucked during acceleration or above 5000 RPM.
