System Inspection: Non-Turbo
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature and turn off. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector. Connect a 2000-3000 ohm resister to terminals of sensor connector. See Fig 1

- Connect tachometer and start engine. Check that engine speed is about 800 RPM for 90 seconds and about 750 RPM after 90 seconds.
- Turn engine off and disconnect vacuum hose from pressure regulator. See Fig 2

- Place finger on vacuum hose port and start engine. Check that for 90 seconds air is not pulled into port. After 90 seconds, air should be pulled into port.
