System Inspection: Turbo

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and turn off. Remove intercooler. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector. Connect a 3500 ohm resister to terminals of sensor connector. See Figure .
  2. Connect tachometer and start engine. Check that engine speed is about 850 RPM for 50 seconds and about 750 RPM after 50 seconds.
  3. Turn engine off and connect voltmeter to pressure regulator control solenoid valve. See Fig 1 .

  4. Start engine and check that for 50 seconds voltage reading is below 2 volts. After 50 seconds, voltage reading should be battery voltage.
