System Inspection: Turbo
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature and turn off. Remove intercooler. Disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector. Connect a 3500 ohm resister to terminals of sensor connector. See Figure
.
- Connect tachometer and start engine. Check that engine speed is about 850 RPM for 50 seconds and about 750 RPM after 50 seconds.
- Turn engine off and connect voltmeter to pressure regulator control solenoid valve. See Fig 1

- Start engine and check that for 50 seconds voltage reading is below 2 volts. After 50 seconds, voltage reading should be battery voltage.
