Tilt Mechanism: Disassembly

  1. While compressing lock tabs, remove wiring harness routing clip. Remove lock lever screw and lock lever. Remove adjusting nut and clamp bolt.
  2. Separate upper mounting bracket from steering column. Remove ignition switch. Using locking pliers, remove steering lock shear bolts. Remove steering lock.
