Switching Solenoid Valve (Non-Turbo) Signal Check

  1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and let idle. Connect tachometer to engine. Disconnect vacuum hose connecting the switching solenoid valve to the air control valve at the switching solenoid valve. Place finger over port.
  2. Slowly increase engine speed, checking that air is sucked into the port. Disconnect throttle sensor connector. Slowly increase engine speed, checking that air is not sucked into the port when speed is more than 1000-1200 RPM.
