Throttle Sensor (Turbo)

  1. Remove rubber boot from throttle sensor. See Fig 1 . With ignition on, check voltage between each terminal and ground. See THROTTLE SENSOR VOLTAGE  table. Repeat test with throttle wide open.

    Termina Codes Closed Volts Wide Open Volts
    A 0.3-0.7 Approx. 4.0
    B Less Than 1.5 Less Than 1.5
    C 4.5-5.5 4.5-5.5
    D Less Than 1.5 Approx. 12.0
  2. If not correct at terminal D only, check throttle sensor adjustment. If not correct at terminals A, B or C, check resistance. If resistance is okay, check voltage at ECU connector terminals No. 2A, 2C and 2E.

A-B Approx. 500 ohms Approx. 4500 ohms
B-C 3000-7000 ohms 7000
NOTE: All procedures are made with engine at normal operating temperature.
