TICS Solenoid

  1. Connect voltmeter between solenoid valve Blue/Red wire and ground. See Fig 1 . Start engine and note voltage.

  2. With engine RPM less than 4000, voltage should be less than 2 volts. With engine RPM greater than 4000, voltage should be approximately 12 volts.
  3. Disconnect vacuum hose from solenoid. Blow through port B. Ensure exhaust through air filter.
  4. Disconnect solenoid connector. Apply 12 volts to one solenoid terminal and ground the other. Blow through port B. See Fig 2 . Ensure air exhaust through port A.
