Trouble Code No. 01

Check all connections and repair as necessary. Check crank angle sensor resistance. See CRANK ANGLE SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTING in this article. If resistance is okay, check for continuity between proper terminals of crank angle sensor and ECU. See ECU & SENSOR TERMINAL USAGE table. Determine terminal identification. See Fig 1 .

If continuity did not exist at proper terminals, check wiring circuit. If continuity exists, ECU is defective.
