Trouble Code No. 04

  1. Check all connections and repair as necessary. Check air intake temperature sensor resistance. See AIR INTAKE TEMPERATURE SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTING  in this article.
  2. If resistance is okay, check for continuity between airflow meter terminal "THAa" and ECU terminal "2J". Determine terminal identification. See Figure and Figure .
  3. If no continuity exists, check for open wiring circuit. If continuity exists, check for shorted circuit or defective ECU.
