EGR Valve

  1. Operate engine to normal operating temperature. Allow engine to idle. On turbo models, remove hose from EGR valve. On non-turbo models, remove vacuum hose from EGR solenoid valve. See Fig 1 .
  2. On all models, use vacuum pump and apply 3.9 in. Hg to EGR valve. Replace EGR valve if rough engine idle or stalling does not exist. Reconnect hoses.
