Description & Operation
NOTE:
When the battery has been disconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Engine Control Unit (ECU) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the strategy.
Main switch (master switch) on driver's door controls all windows. A sub-switch on passenger's door operates only the passenger side window. A permanent magnet motor moves each power window up and down. The direction the motor turns depends on the polarity of the supply voltage. The control switches control the supply voltage polarity. With the ignition switch in the ON position, voltage is applied to a Power Windows Circuit, 30-amp fuse in the fuse panel. Power then travels to the master switch in the driver's door armrest then to the passengers sub-switch.
