Fuel System Pressure Release
CAUTION:
When servicing fuel system related components, high fuel pressure may be present in fuel lines and component parts. Relieve pressure before attempting to open system for component replacement. DO NOT allow fuel to flow onto engine or electrical parts or allow an open flame in area while testing fuel system components.
To relieve fuel pressure, disconnect circuit opening relay or fuel pump or airflow sensor electrical connector. See FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF TABLE . Start and run engine until it stops. On 626, circuit opening relay is located on relay panel next to fuse panel, below left side of fuse block. On B2600i, circuit opening relay is located behind left kick panel. On Miata, circuit opening relay is located behind steering wheel lower trim cover.
