Main Relay

  1. Check for relay clicking sound when ignition is turned on and off. Main relay is located behind left strut tower near firewall.
  2. If no operating sound is heard, ensure continuity does not exist between terminals "A" and "B" or between terminals "C" and "D" with no voltage applied. See Fig 1 . If no continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Apply battery voltage to connector terminal "E" and ground to connector terminal "F". Ensure continuity exists between terminals "A" and "B" and between terminals "C" and "D" with voltage applied. Replace relay if reading is incorrect.
