Ignition Timing: Navajo
- Engine is equipped with Electronic Distributorless Ignition System (EDIS). Base (initial) timing is preset at 10 degrees BTDC and is not adjustable. To check base timing, turn ignition off.
- Disconnect Spark Angle Word (SAW) in-line connector in Yellow/Light Green wire near EDIS module, in right front corner of engine compartment. Start engine.
- Connect timing light and check timing. If ignition timing is not at 10 degrees BTDC, see appropriate TESTS W/O CODES

articles. Turn off engine. Connect SAW in-line connector.
