Clearing Trouble Codes

Disconnect negative battery cable, and depress brake pedal for at least 20 seconds. Reconnect battery cable. Reconnect self-diagnostic checker and system selector. See Figure . Turn ignition on, but DO NOT start engine for 6 seconds. Start and run engine at 2000 RPM for 3 minutes. Verify no codes are displayed.

NOTE: See PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section to identify ECU connector terminals.
