Activating Self-Diagnostic Function

  1. Remove ignition key. Open driver door. Ensure warning system is off.
  2. Insert ignition key. Turn ignition on and off. Remove ignition key. Repeat procedure 4 times. Close and open driver door, or press and release door switch. Repeat procedure 3 times.
  3. If CPU buzzer does not sound once, return to step 1) and begin procedure again. If CPU buzzer sounds once, output device operation check will begin. If a present failure is detected, CPU buzzer will sound.
  4. If CPU buzzer sounds one time, keyless unit and CPU are communicating properly. If CPU buzzer sounds 2 times, CPU is not receiving BUZZER, UNLOCK, and LOCK signals from keyless unit. Check for an open or short circuit in Purple wire between keyless unit and CPU, or for a faulty keyless unit.
  5. If CPU buzzer sounds 3 times, CPU is not receiving DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK, TRUNK and PANIC signals from keyless unit. Check for an open or short circuit in Red/Green wire between keyless unit and CPU, or for a faulty keyless unit.
  6. If CPU buzzer sounds 4 times, CPU is not receiving any signals from keyless unit. Check for an open or short circuit in Purple and Red/Green wires between keyless unit and CPU, or for a faulty keyless unit.
