Lock Cylinder: Installation
- Install bearing, bearing retainer and ignition lock drive gear. Lubricate cylinder cavity with lock cylinder lubricant. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Depress retaining pin and insert new lock cylinder into lock cylinder housing.
- Ensure cylinder is fully seated and aligned into drive gear before turning key to OFF position. Use key to rotate cylinder, ensuring correct mechanical operation in all positions.
- Connect negative battery cable. Check ignition switch functions and ensure column locks when switch is in LOCK position. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
