Test No. 3

  1. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at Green/White wire terminal of main switch connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Red/White wire terminal of main switch connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage exists at both terminals with switch in indicated position, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals with switch in indicated position, check main switch. See MAIN SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  2. Measure voltage at Green/White wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Red/White wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals with switch in indicated position, repair wiring between main switch and sub-switch. If battery voltage exists at both terminals, go to next step.
  3. Measure voltage at Red wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Green wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage exists at both terminals with switch in indicated position, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals, check sub-switch. See SUB-SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  4. Measure voltage at Red wire terminal of passenger's window motor connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Green wire terminal of passenger's window motor connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals with switch in indicated position, repair wiring between sub-switch and window motor. If battery voltage exists at both terminals, check window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS.
