Ignition Timing

NOTE: On models with computer-controlled ignition, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES - 2.0L article to diagnose ignition timing problems.
IGNITION TIMING SPECIFICATIONS

Application Man. Trans. (1) Auto. Trans.
2.0L (2) 12 @ 700 (3) 10 @ 700
(1) Place automatic transmission in Park.
(2) Connect jumper wire between terminals TEN and GRD of data link connector.
(3) Remove shorting bar from the double-wire SPOUT connector located in front corner of engine compartment near main fuse block.
