Crankshaft Position Sensor Resistance

Disconnect crankshaft position sensor connector. Crankshaft position sensor is a separate unit located at front of crankshaft. Measure resistance between terminals. Refer to the specifications in the CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table. Also, see Fig 1 . If resistance is not as indicated, replace the crankshaft position sensor.
If ignition coil resistance and crankshaft position sensor test okay, check for spark. If spark is still not present, on RX7, go to the IGNITION CONTROL MODULE heading below.
