System Operation

To improve idle and driveability performance, PCM cancels air conditioning operation momentarily immediately after starting engine, during wide open throttle or if engine overheats. Faults in A/C cutoff system or circuit should set a diagnostic trouble code. See TESTS W/CODES article.
