OBD-II Parameter Identification (PID) Mode
PID mode allows technician to access certain data values, analog and digital inputs and outputs, calculated values, and system status information.
Ensure engine is warmed to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program NGS tool using the following steps:
- Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION.
- Select year, engine, model and any additional information requested by tool.
- Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
- Select PCM - POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
- Select PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD.
- Turn ignition on and start engine.
- Select PID values to view and press trigger.
- Select start to begin.
- Follow operating instructions from tool menu.
