"G" Sensor Test

CAUTION: DO NOT drop or impose strong shock to "G" sensor.
  1. Remove "G" sensor from vehicle leaving electrical connector connected. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, measure voltage between terminals "A" (output) and "B" (ground) of "G" sensor connector. See Fig 1 . Place "G" sensor in specified position while measuring voltage. See Fig 2 .
  2. With sensor held in level position, voltage should be 2.4-2.6 volts. With sensor held in face-down position (arrow up), voltage should be 1.3-1.7 volts. With sensor held in face-up position (arrow down), voltage should be 3.3-3.7 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace "G" sensor.
