2.0L A/T

  1. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) Tool (49 T088 0A0) to data link connector 2 located under left side of dash. See Fig 1 . Using NSG tool, select PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD and monitor RPM.
  2. Connect timing light to engine. Set timing to specification. See IGNITION TIMING SPECIFICATIONS  table. See Fig 3 . If ignition timing is not within specification, check distributor installation. Distributor can not be rotated to adjust ignition timing. Disconnect NGS tool from data link connector 2.
