Test No. 3

  1. Remove door trim panel. Check for obstructions or damage to glass runs and window regulator. Repair obstruction as necessary. Retest system operation. If no obstruction is found, go to next step.
  2. Observe window movement to determine if condition is caused by lack of lubrication. Lubricate mechanism as necessary. Retest system operation. If adequate lubrication was found, go to next step.
  3. Check inner and outer weatherstrip for proper installation. Realign or replace weatherstrip as necessary. Retest system operation. If weatherstrip is okay, go to next step.
  4. Check door glass run retainers inside door for proper installation and alignment. Check window regulator for proper installation. Reinstall or realign retainers or window regulator as necessary. Retest system operation. If retainers and regulator are okay, check all related components individually to determine which component caused malfunction. See COMPONENT TESTS  . Replace component(s) as necessary. Retest system operation.
