PCM Power Relay

  1. Remove PCM power relay from fuse/relay box in left rear of engine compartment. Using DVOM, measure resistance between PCM power relay terminals No. 85 and 86. See Figure .
  2. Resistance should be 40-120 ohms. Measure resistance between PCM power relay terminal No. 85 and terminals No. 30 and 87. Resistance should be more than 10,000 ohms at both terminals.
  3. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage to PCM power relay terminals No. 85 and 86. Using DVOM, check for continuity between PCM power relay terminals No. 30 and 87. Continuity should exist. If relay specifications are not as specified, replace PCM power relay.
