Tank Pressure Control Valve

  1. Remove Tank Pressure Control Valve (TPCV). TPCV is located on separator, behind right rear trim panel.
  2. Apply air pressure to inlet port (on same side as electrical connector). At pressures less than .03 psi (.20 kPa), air should not flow. At pressures more than .14 psi (.98 kPa), air should flow through valve.
  3. Using a vacuum pump, apply vacuum to inlet port. With vacuum at more than .3 in. Hg, air should flow through valve. Replace TPCV as necessary.
