Using Engine Signal Monitor

  1. Fuel tank pressure sensor is located on top of separator. Separator is located behind right rear trim panel. Connect Engine Signal Monitor (49 9200 162A) to ECM, using proper overlay and adapter cables. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at ECM terminal 3A.
  2. Connect a vacuum pump to sensor. With no vacuum applied, voltage should be 2.5 volts. With .29 in. Hg of vacuum applied to sensor, voltage should be 2.8 volts. If voltage readings are not as specified, replace fuel tank pressure sensor.
