Power Circuit

  1. Power (PWR) circuit for PCM is located at PCM terminal No. 55 (Yellow wire). PCM is located in right rear of engine compartment. If PWR fuse circuit is open or shorted, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) should set. See TESTS W/CODES article and check for DTCs. If no DTC's are present, go to next step.
  2. To check PCM power circuit, measure voltage between ground and PCM connector terminal No. 55. See TEST EQUIPMENT under PIN VOLTAGE/PID VALUE CHARTS article for test equipment to be used.
  3. If battery voltage is not present, locate and repair open or short circuit between PCM connector and fuse No. 18 in engine compartment fuse/relay box. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
