Simulation Test With Scan Tool

Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, select SIMULATION TEST mode. Select specified PID for appropriate solenoid: 3-2TIME PID = 3-2 timing solenoid, SHIFT A, SHIFT B or SHIFT C PIDs = shift solenoids "A", "B" or "C", or TCC CON PID = TCC control solenoid. Press TRIGGER, then press START. Press TRIGGER again to send ON signal to selected solenoid. An audible "click" should be heard from selected solenoid. If solenoid "clicks" when actuated, solenoid is okay. If solenoid does not "click" when actuated, replace solenoid.
