Active Command Modes Procedure
NOTE:
When commanding operation of ABS motor, dump or isolation valves, turn VPWR RLY on, then each command on. VPWR RLY regulates power supply for ABS motor and 8 valves.
Active command mode allows devices such as relays or solenoids to be actuated through NGS scan tool. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Ensure test equipment is properly attached. Program scan tool using the following steps:
- Select VEHICLE & ENGINE SELECTION.
- Select NEW VEHICLE YEAR & MODEL (2000).
- Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
- Select ABS-ANTI LOCK BRAKE MODULE.
- Select ACTIVE COMMAND MODES.
- Select ABS OUTPUT CONTROL (to control ABS CM outputs, relays or solenoids.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position or start engine and allow to idle.
- Select appropriate active command mode. For active command modes, see ACTIVE COMMAND MODE DEFINITIONS table.
