Vehicle Preparation & Equipment Hookup: Notes

Apply parking brake, and place shift lever in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T) position. Block drive wheels. Turn off all electrical accessories. Ensure engine is at normal operating temperature. If vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary powertrain control system (RPM control), it must be turned off when performing any self-test procedure.
