Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Removal/Installation

- Drain the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS .) (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT )
- Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.WARNING:
- When the engine is hot, it can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.
- Remove the ECT sensor.
- Replace the gasket.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Refill the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS .) (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT )
