Repair Verification Procedure
NOTE:
Perform this procedure after repairing a malfunction to verify malfunction has been corrected.
- Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Clear DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC drive cycle listed below to ensure DTC has been repaired:
- P0500
Start engine and warm to 140°F (60°C) or more. Using scan tool, access TURBINE, 1GR and D SW PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle until TURBINE PID value is 1500 RPM or more, 1GR value is ON and D SW PID value is ON for 16 seconds or more. Go to step 2. - P0705
Start engine and allow to idle. Using scan tool, access RPM, D SW, S SW, L SW, R SW and TR SW PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle in each range ("P", "R", "N", "D", "2" and "1") with RPM PID value at 530 RPM or more for at least 2 minutes. Go to step 2. - P0706
Start engine and allow to idle. Using scan tool, access RPM, VS, D SW, S SW and L SW PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle in each range ("D", "2" and "1") with RPM PID value at 530 RPM or more, and VS PID value at 12 MPH for at least 2 minutes. Go to step 2. - P0710
Start engine and allow to idle. Using scan tool, access VS PID from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle with VS PID value at 12 MPH for at least 2 minutes. Go to step 2. - P0711
Ensure engine coolant temperature has decreased to 68°F (20°C) or less. Start engine and allow to idle. Using scan tool, access VS PID from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle with VS PID value at 37 MPH for more than 7 minutes. Go to step 2. - P0715
Start engine and allow to idle. Using scan tool, access VS PID from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle with VS PID value at 25 MPH for 5 seconds. Go to step 2. - P0731
Start engine. Warm engine and transaxle to normal operating temperature. Using scan tool, access VS, 1GR, TP V, D SW and O/DF LP PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle to achieve VS PID value 5-30 MPH, 1GR and D SW values ON, O/DF LP value OFF, and TP V PID value 1.1 volts or more for 15 seconds or more. Bring vehicle to a complete stop and repeat PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD procedure 5 times. Go to step 2. - P0732
Start engine. Warm engine and transaxle to normal operating temperature. Using scan tool, access VS, 2GR, D SW and O/DF LP PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle to achieve VS PID value 6-54 MPH, 2GR and D SW values ON and O/DF LP value OFF for 15 seconds or more. Bring vehicle to a complete stop and repeat PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD procedure 4 times. Go to step 2. - P0733
Start engine. Warm engine and transaxle to normal operating temperature. Using scan tool, access VS, 3GR, D SW, and O/DF LP PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle to achieve VS PID value 17-30 MPH, 3GR and D SW values ON and O/DF LP value OFF for 5 seconds or more. Go to step 2. - P0734
Start engine. Warm engine and transaxle to normal operating temperature. Using scan tool, access VS, 4GR, D SW, and O/DF LP PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle to achieve VS PID value 48-64 MPH, 4GR and D SW values ON and O/DF LP value OFF for 15 seconds or more. Go to step 2. - P0740
Start engine. Warm engine and transaxle to normal operating temperature. Using scan tool, access VS, 4GR, D SW, O/DF LP and TCC CON PIDs from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. Road test vehicle to achieve VS PID value 47-64 MPH, 4GR, D SW and TCC CON values ON and O/DF LP value OFF for 15 seconds or more. Go to step 2. - P0743
Start engine. Road test vehicle, ensuring transaxle shifts smoothly through all gears and TCC engages. Go to step 2. - P0745
Start engine. Road test vehicle in first gear with gearshift lever in "D" position. Go to step 2. - P0750, P0755, P0760 & P1763
Road test vehicle, ensuring transaxle shifts smoothly through all gears and TCC engages. Go to step 2.
- P0500
- Once DTC drive cycle is complete, bring vehicle to a gradual stop. Perform self-test on PCM and ensure serviced DTC does not repeat. If serviced DTC resets, repeat REPAIR VERIFICATION PROCEDURE for appropriate DTC. If serviced DTC resets again, replace PCM.
