DTC P0032: Right Front Ho2S Heater Circuit High: Testing
NOTE:
Record freeze frame data. Check for service bulletins and on-line information.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect right front HO2S connector. Check connectors for damaged terminals and corrosion. If problem is not present, go to next step. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step 5 .
- Check resistance between HO2S connector terminals "C" and "D". If resistance is 5.0-6.8 ohms, go to next step. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If resistance is not 5.0-6.8 ohms, replace HO2S and go to step 5 .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connector. PCM is mounted to passenger floor, behind glove box. Check HO2S harness connector and PCM harness connector terminal No. 93 for damaged terminal(s) and corrosion. See Figure . If problem is not present, go to next step. If problem is present, repair as necessary and go to step 5 .
- Turn ignition on. Check voltage in Yellow wire between ground and HO2S harness connector terminal "D". If battery voltage is not present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, repair short to power in Yellow wire between HO2S harness connector terminal "D" and PCM harness connector terminal No. 93. See Figure . Go to next step.
- Reconnect all components. Using scan tool, clear DTC. Start engine and allow to reach operating temperature. Check for DTC P0032. If DTC P0032 is not pending, go to next step. If DTC P0032 is pending, replace PCM and go to next step.
- Perform after repair procedure. See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE . If no DTC is present, testing is complete. If any DTC is present, go to appropriate test for diagnosis and repair.
