Assembly Procedure
- Apply ATF to the spool.
- Install the spool and spring into the oil pump housing.
- Verify that the spool moves smoothly.
- If not as specified, replace the oil pump.
- Install a new packing and the plug.
Tightening Torque
- 32-47 N.m {3.2-4.8 kgf.m, 24-34 ft.lbf}
- Apply ATF to the outer and inner rotors and pump flange.
- Align the marks and install the outer and inner rotors.
- Install the oil pump flange.
- Mount the oil pump cover onto the oil pump housing.
- Tighten the bolts evenly and gradually in the order shown.
Tightening Torque
- 8.1-10.9 N.m {82-112 kgf.cm, 71.2-97.2 in.lbf}
- Install the oil pump shaft and verify the smooth oil pump operation.CAUTION:
- Carefully install the seal rings without damaging them. If they are cut or scratched during installation, oil leakage will occur.
- Apply ATF to new seal rings and install them onto the oil pump cover.
Seal Ring Inner Diameter:
- 51.45 mm {2.026 in}
