Oil Pump Inspection

1. Measure the clearance between the end of the oil pump housing and the outer rotor and inner rotor at four places along their circumferences.
   • If not as specified, replace the oil pump.

   Clearance 

   1. Standard: 0.02-0.04 mm {0.0008-0.0015 in} 
   2. Maximum: 0.05 mm {0.0019 in}

2. Measure the clearance between the oil pump boss and the inner rotor.
   • If not within the specification, replace the oil pump.

   Oil Clearance 

   1. Standard: 0.040-0.115 mm {0.00157-0.00453 in} 
   2. Maximum: 0.125 mm {0.00492 in}

3. Measure the spring free length.
   • If not as specified, replace the oil pump.

4. Measure the spool and inspect for wear.
   • If not as specified, replace the oil pump.

Outer Diameter 

1. Standard: 13.970-13.980 mm {0.5500-0.5503 in} 
2. Minimum: 13.970 mm {0.5500 in}
