EGR Monitor Repair Verification Drive Mode
NOTE:
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) PID must be more than 50°F (10°C) to start EGR monitor. After monitoring conditions are set, system testing requires 30 seconds or more to complete.
- Connect scan tool. Warm engine until ECT PID is at least 165°F (74°C). Turn off all accessories. Drive vehicle at a constant speed of 48-127 MPH for 2 minutes or more. Stop vehicle and allow to idle for 20 seconds or more.
- Using scan tool, check drive mode completion status. If drive mode is not completed, turn ignition off. Repeat procedure again. If drive mode is completed, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, check values. If values are within specification, verify no DTCs are present. Repair is complete. If values are not within specification, repair is not complete.
