Rear Axle Speed Sensor Removal/Installation

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the rear axle speed sensor connector (1).
  3. Remove the bolt (2).
  4. NOTE: Inspect the anti-lock brake sensor O-ring for damage; lightly lubricate O-ring with rear axle lubricant.

    CAUTION: Before removing the rear axle speed sensor, clean any dirt around the sensor to prevent the dirt from contaminating the rear axle fluid.
  5. Remove the rear axle speed sensor (3).
  6. Install in reverse order of removal.
    1. Tightening Torque 
      1. 34-40 N.m (3.5-4.1 kgf.m, 25-29 ft.lbf)
