One-Touch Down Relay

  1. Remove one-touch down relay. Measure resistance between terminal No. 2 and all other terminals of relay. See Figure. If all resistance readings are greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance reading is 5 ohms or less, replace one-touch down relay.
  2. Using fused jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to relay terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Measure voltage at terminal No. 4. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace one-touch down relay.
  3. With both jumper wires connected as in step 2)  , connect another jumper wire between ground and relay terminal No. 2. Measure voltage at terminal No. 5. If battery voltage does not exist, replace one-touch down relay. If battery voltage exists, one-touch down relay is okay at this time.
