Retrieving Continuous DTCS

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to data link connector. Enter vehicle information on NGS tester. Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK TEST, then select GEM - GENERIC ELECTRONIC MODULE on NGS tester. Enter appropriate vehicle options on NGS tester. After all vehicle options are selected, press SAVE key. Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE. Select RETRIEVE/CLEAR CONTINUOUS DTCs. Record all DTCs. See GENERIC ELECTRONIC MODULE (GEM) DTC INDEX table.
