Detection Condition
- DTC P1729 indicates 4X4L shift control switch failure, either open or shorted.
- DTC P1781 indicates 4X4L position (closed) during KOEO self-test.
4X4 low switch provides an indication of when 4X4 transfer case gear system is in low range. PCM modifies the shift schedule for 4X4L transfer case gear ratio.
